Community Safety Unit

The Community Safety Unit is split into three branches: School Resource, Crime Prevention and Media Relations.

The Community Safety Unit continues to support the community with programs that are related to crime prevention issues, such as: Crime Stoppers, the "Fighting Crime in Medicine Hat" newspaper submission, Loss Prevention, the Communicator. These are just name a few of the programs that the officers are involved in, not to mention participation in the E.P.I.C. Program and School Resource.

The Medicine Hat Safe Community Association

(MHSCA is a non profit organization whose purpose is to provide advice and recommendations on matters relating to the programs and services that the Community Safety Unit of the Medicine Hat Police Service deliver to the community.
