Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU)

CFSEU consists of two sergeants and approximately 12 police officers from MHPS and the RCMP.  The unit’s primary focus is to investigate and disrupt the organized illegal drug trade in Medicine Hat, Brooks, Bassano, Bow Island and Drumheller. The members of the unit investigate drug traffickers from the multi kilogram level to the street level dealer and any other associated organized criminal activity that requires specialty team enforcement. 

The unit’s investigators are made up of undercover officers trained in surveillance and numerous other specialty covert techniques. These members are intelligence led with target enforcement packages given to them from Medicine Hat Integrated Intelligence Unit (MHIIU) and mainly focus on what are sometimes long-term investigations targeting drug distribution networks between South Eastern Alberta communities.
