Turning Right on a Red Light
Under Section 54(2) of the Traffic Safety Act, if your intention is to turn right on a red light these are the requirements of the driver:
Unless a traffic control device (traffic lights) prohibits a right turn from being made on a red light, a person driving a vehicle may turn the vehicle and proceed right at the intersection if that person first stops the vehicle completely and yields the right of way to any pedestrian in the intersection and to any vehicles that are approaching the intersection.
