Female Charged with Impaired Driving
On July 9, 2018 at approximately 10:58 PM members of the Medicine Hat Police Service responded to a report of a hit and run motor vehicle collision, that occurred in the 600 block of 20th Street NE.
A 2012 Hyundai Tucson was travelling northbound when it struck a fence. The vehicle then continued driving and struck a parked 2000 GMC Sierra, causing it to be pushed into a parked 2005 Chevrolet Silverado, and the porch area of a residence. The vehicle then left the area and was followed by a witness as it drove west on 20th Street NE to Division Avenue N, and then west onto 12 Street NW, swerving and nearly striking other vehicles. At the intersection of 12th Street NW and Brier Park Road, the vehicle continued west through a fence and into a field. It was at this location where the 28-year-old female driver from Dunmore, Alberta was arrested and charged with Impaired Driving.
There were no injuries as a result of the collisions and damage is estimated at $17,000.
