Robbery/Resist Arrest / Escape Lawful Custody

On July 3 at approximately 10 PM Medicine Hat 911 operators received a TIP from a very attentive member of the community.  The caller believed that they had observed a male matching the description of Graeme ILLINGWORTH walking with a limp near an apartment building in the zero hundred block of 19 Street NE.

Police members were dispatched to the location and after an extensive area search ILLINGWORTH was spotted trying to return to an apartment building in the 2300 block of Hatcher Drive NE.  ILLINGWORTH immediately fled on foot when he observed police cruisers in the area.  Containment was set up and the MHPS K9 Unit – Police Service Dog Flint and his handler were called to the area.  Within minutes PSD Flint located ILLINGWORTH hiding in the bushes a short distance from where he was originally spotted.

ILLINGWORTH is currently in custody for outstanding warrants and charges are currently pending regarding the Robbery complaint from earlier today.

The MHPS would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating ILLINGWORTH!
