Drugs and Weapons Charges

On the afternoon of June 10, 2018 the patrol section of the Medicine Hat Police Service arrested a 19 year old local female on several drugs and weapons charges. As a result of the investigation a quantity of methamphetamine and cocaine was seized along with $2360 in Canadian Currency, a can of bear spray, and two baseball bats, one of which had several nails/screws and chains protruding from it. The female, who will not be named at this time, is currently being held for a bail hearing and is facing the following charges;

  • - Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
  • - Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
  • - Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the public x 2
  • - Possession of proceeds of crime.

Update

Emily Hogben, 19 years old, of Medicine Hat, Alberta has been charged with the following offences: 

  • - Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
  • - Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
  • - Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the public x 2
  • - Possession of proceeds of crime.

Hogben has been remanded in custody for a court appearance on June 12, 2018.
